Packaging management systems in Portugal: how to compare

Step 1

Confirm licensed entities

Step 2

Map the scope

Step 3

Compare terms and data

Step 4

Retain contract and proof

Submission Version, date, person responsible and receipt issued
Maintenance Source data, approval and next action

Start with the current APA list

The APA publishes the SIGRE producer responsibility organisations. The list, licensing and scope may change; confirm them on the decision date.

A well-known brand is not automatically suitable for all categories, uses or packaging models.

Compare how the producer operates

Compare types of packaging, materials, channels, quantities, required data, contractual terms and calendar.

Financial contributions from the system and fees from a private provider must appear separately.

Record the decision

Keep the version of the terms, the proposal, the acceptance, the effective date and the proof issued by the entity.

Only the managing entity decides on membership and issues its own documents.

Conclusion

Framing comes before form. Always link the entity, product, channel, and stream to the applicable official source.

The evidence must be traceable. Store versions, dates, approvals, submissions and documents issued by each external entity.

Third party decisions are not guaranteed. APA, management systems and platforms control their own procedures and results.
